We have been awarded £24,990 from the Scottish Land Fund towards the development of a Masterplan and a Business Plan for the Plock and Toll Office! It is our intention to take ownership of these assets and develop them to create benefits within our community.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get involved and help us shape the ideas for this exciting development in Kyle. There will be plenty of opportunities to engage with our appointed team of consultants and architects.

Our Trustees will have a stall at the Co-op store in Kyle from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday 3rd March where you can come and chat to us about our projects.

You’ll have a chance to look at an early draft plan for the Plock showing potential sites for the ideas put forward by the community on Saturday 17 March. That’s the day of the Kyle Community Projects – Let’s Decide event in the Lighthouse Christian Centre at 12:00pm.

You’ll have another chance to meet with some of the consultants team on Saturday 14 April at the Toll Office when we’ll be holding a Family Fun Day. We’re planning a BBQ, bouncy castle, guided walks round the Plock, and the opportunity to have a look at the latest draft plan. You’ll also be able to chat with the architects about the plans, and help the regular volunteers with a bit of a vegetation clear-up of some areas of the Plock. We would really appreciate some help with this event, so please get in touch if you can help us out.  You can do this by emailing Jo, our Development Officer, on her brand new email address – development@lochalsh.uk

Our consultant Jean Hamilton will do some interviews with local businesses and stakeholders to get their comments. If you would like to speak to her or just give her your opinion, you can email her on jean.hamilton@jhltd.co.uk
